Cozen O’Connor State AG Group and Attorneys Acclaimed in Chambers 2021 USA Guide

  • On May 20, 2021, Chambers and Partners released its 2021 USA Guide. The Cozen O’Connor State AG Group was again recognized as the leading and only Band 1 practice nationwide in the category of Government Relations: State Attorneys General. Our joint submission with Cozen O’Connor’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Group also achieved us Band 1 recognition in nationwide Corporate Crime and Investigations: Highly Regarded.
  • Our team was noted for its wide geographic reach. Chambers described Cozen O’Connor’s State AG Group as having “well-connected attorneys able to advocate on behalf of clients on a wide range of issues, including sensitive investigations. [The Group is a] strong choice for securing regulatory approvals from state attorneys general, including in the context of significant M&A.”
  • Four of our attorneys were also ranked as leading practitioners: Bernie Nash, Lori Kalani, Milton Marquis and Paul Connell. For Bernie, Chambers quoted a client as saying: “He has been an outstanding contributor to our company’s overall success. I consider him to be a valued partner and trusted advisor”. Another client described their experience with Lori as “incredibly positive and professional”. Milton was acclaimed as “an exceptional lawyer, who knows the law and the practice of law very well … resourceful and responsive … has grace under pressure and is very level-headed. Paul received accolades for his knowledge of the internal workings of the attorney general’s office and his knowledge of a wide range of areas of law.
  • Often referred to as the gold standard in legal directories, Chambers employs a staff of over 200 analysts to conduct extensive research every year. They interview key executives in the legal departments at leading US and international companies as well as legal professionals across the country to obtain frank, first-hand assessments of practices and individual lawyers.  For the 2021 Guide, Chambers spoke with more than 34,000 interviewees, and ranked almost 22,000 lawyers and more than 8,000 practices.
