- Fight human trafficking with proposed legislation that would seize property from landlords who knowingly rent to human traffickers.
- Look out for the vulnerable by creating a Senior Strike Force aimed at protection senior citizens from fraud.
Professional background: Jason Miyares was elected as attorney general in 2021. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2015 to 2021 while also working as a partner with the consulting firm Madison Strategies. Earlier in his career, AG Miyares was an assistant commonwealth’s attorney in Virginia Beach, and also worked as a campaign manager and adviser to former U.S. Congressman Scott Rigell (R-VA).
Education: AG Miyares received his B.A. from James Madison University and his J.D. from the College of William & Mary’s Law School.
Personal: AG Miyares and his wife, Paige, have three daughters.
