Background: Before his election, AG Jepsen was in private practice at Ecker & Murphy, specializing in civil litigation, government compliance, and estate planning. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Connecticut Democratic Party. Jepsen served in the Connecticut Senate from 1991 to 2003 and was Majority Leader from 1997 to 2003. Jepsen served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1987 to 1990. He began his legal career as Staff Counsel for the Carpenter’s Union (UBC Local 210) for Western Connecticut.
