Mira Baylson Honored in PBJ’s 2022 Best of the Bar Awards

Mira Baylson of the Cozen O’Connor State AG Group was today named by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the region’s most impactful lawyers in its annual Best of the Bar program. The program spans 10 categories of law, and this year 37 attorneys were honored for their contributions to the profession, based on their success over the last 15 months.

In addition to representing a client in a high-stakes and widely covered consumer protection investigation launched by state AGs and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Mira is deeply engaged in developing and executing successful state AG strategies for her clients. She is recognized for her ability to negotiate at the intersection of civil and criminal government enforcement, de-escalate charges, and identify creative solutions to complex disputes.

Over the last 12 months, Mira has become increasingly involved in advising corporate clients on how to pursue community-based and philanthropic initiatives, often in partnership with state regulators. Many companies have philanthropic programs that have been run at arms length from the business side. Mira helps clients integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, government affairs, and core operations.

Additionally, Mira maintains an active pro bono practice on behalf of indigent clients in need of support and representation, and she has been lead counsel on impact litigation to promote prisoner rights, immigrant rights, and criminal justice reform.

With a law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was the first recipient of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Fellowship for Social Justice in the Delaware Valley, Mira’s roots in the Philadelphia region run deep and this honor is a timely recognition of her skill as a lawyer and her commitment to social justice.
