Background: AG Mills was previously Maine AG from 2009 to 2011, and was the first woman to hold that position. Prior to her first term as AG, she served in the Maine House of Representatives beginning in 2002. AG Mills also worked in private practice from 2011 to 2012 during her hiatus from the AG position. She began her career as a state prosecutor and afterwards was elected to three terms as the state’s first female District Attorney.
