Austin attorney Justin Nelson, the Democratic candidate for Texas attorney general, announced Thursday that he had received more than $900,000 in contributions and pledges, including $500,000 of his own money, in the weeks following his announcement that was seeking to unseat incumbent Republican Ken Paxton.
