Andrew Bailey was appointed to become the 44th Missouri Attorney General in January 2023, filling the mid-term vacancy created by Eric Schmitt’s election to the U.S. Senate, he was elected to a full term in 2024. Prior to his appointment, AG Bailey served as Governor Mike Parson’s general counsel. Before joining the governor’s office, AG Bailey had served as a Missouri assistant AG, assistant prosecuting attorney for Warren County, and as general counsel for the Missouri Department of Corrections. AG Bailey also served in the United States Army and was awarded two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Badge, and two Bronze Star Medals for his service.
