Marty Jackley was elected as South Dakota’s 33rd attorney general in 2022. He previously served as the 30th attorney general from 2009, standing down in 2019 when he reached term limits. From 2006 to 2009, AG Jackley served as United States Attorney for the District of South Dakota. Prior to that, AG Jackley was in private practice and also prosecuted controlled substance felonies as a special assistant attorney general for South Dakota.
