Ohio Settles with DuPont Over PFAS Liability for $110 Million

  • Ohio AG Dave Yost settled with DuPont de Nemours, Inc. to resolve allegations that the company’s historic activities caused environmental damage and contamination with per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) chemicals.
  • Under the terms of the settlement, DuPont will pay $110 million to Ohio, which the state will use to address pollution, address damages from firefighting foam, and mitigate damages to natural resources.
  • As we previously reported, DuPont settled similar claims with Delaware in 2021.
