Raúl Torrez was sworn in as the 32nd New Mexico Attorney General in January 2023. Prior to election, AG Torrez served as the Bernalillo County District Attorney from 2017 to 2022. Earlier in his career he worked as an assistant district attorney and assistant attorney general. He was then appointed to serve as a White House Fellow by President Barack Obama and served as a senior advisor to the Department of Justice.
