Mike Hilgers was elected as Nebraska’s 33th attorney general in 2022. AG Hilgers served in the Nebraska Legislature from 2017 to 2022, holding the positions of rules chairman, chair of the executive board, and speaker. In 2015, AG Hilgers founded his own practice, Hilgers Graben PLLC, providing commercial and IP litigation services. He served earlier in his career as a judicial clerk for Edith Brown Clement, senior judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
