- The coalition, which includes California, New York, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia, among other states, filed for a mistrial following the DOJ’s sudden exit from the trial, which began in late February.
- In a press release, the California AG’s office said the states are seeking a “better deal for consumers” and intend to keep pressing claims that Live Nation allegedly used its dominance in ticketing and concert-related markets to harm fans, artists, and venues.
- As previously reported, the DOJ and a bipartisan coalition of 30 state AGs originally sued Live Nation and Ticketmaster in 2024, alleging the company monopolized markets across the live entertainment industry and seeking structural relief, including divestiture of Ticketmaster.
