- Arkansas AG Tim Griffin has become the latest state AG to file a lawsuit against Roblox Corporation and Discord Inc., alleging deliberate deception and reckless product design that is actively purring children at risk.
- The lawsuit, which follows similar actions by more than a dozen states to date against Roblox and other online companies that cater to children, cites the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Arkansas public nuisance law, and common law unjust enrichment. The state is seeking injunctive relief, monetary damages, and the return of each company’s wrongful profits derived from Arkansas consumers.
- Separately, Mississippi AG Lynn Fitch has secured a settlement with Roblox that requires Roblox to block adult interactions with teens and children, age verification, parental consent, no nighttime notifications, and access to only age-appropriate content.
- The MS settlement also includes $9 million to help fund new digital literacy education efforts created during the 2026 legislative session. Additionally, the settlement provides liquidated damages of $5 million to ensure Roblox’s compliance with the terms of the agreement.
